“AI traffic” sounds like one thing. On the dashboard it is three different things, doing three different jobs, and they are not interchangeable.

Healthcare Facility Hub, last 7 days: 6,753 AI-bot requests. The operators alone are a crowd — Microsoft 1,250, Meta 1,046, Google 646, OpenAI 580, Amazon 564, Anthropic 505, Perplexity 444, Huawei 401, ByteDance behind them, and a tail that runs down to a single visit each from names most site owners have never heard of.

Clarity sorts them by what they came to do. AI Crawlers made 5,139 of the visits, 76.10% — the index builders, reading everything so the models know it exists. AI Search made 1,031, 15.27% — bots fetching a page because somebody just asked a question: PerplexityBot 444 of them, plus Lyrenth and Parallel. AI Assistants made 583, 8.63% — browsing on behalf of a person mid-conversation: OpenAI 320, Anthropic 94, DuckDuckGo 17, Cohere exactly 1.

The distinction matters because each kind wants something different from a page. A crawler wants it complete and clean. A search bot wants the answer findable in seconds. An assistant wants the page to make sense lifted out of context. One page, three readers, three jobs.

And for all 6,753 visits, the scrape-to-referral ratio is 535:1. One referral came back all week. The most-wanted page on the site, by the way, is not the homepage — it is a field sheet, /email-my-field-sheet/, with 885 requests, 13.11% of everything the bots did.
