Two different maps get called “Ruston.” Pearl Street is the city-listed Ruston / Point Defiance business district and it sits in both Tacoma and the Town of Ruston. Point Ruston is the waterfront mixed-use site on the old Asarco property. Point Defiance Park is next door and is Metro Parks. Last checked August 29, 2026.

A Pearl Street address can be Tacoma or Ruston. That changes 311, police, and sometimes the utility. If the water bill is TPU, start with TPU. If you are not sure which city hall owns the sidewalk, check the address before you file 311.
