AI Visibility for TV Campaigns: For Agency Media Buyers

Your spot airs. A viewer is curious. And the next thing they do is ask an AI assistant about it. We make sure the answer they get names your client.

What happens after the spot airs

TV still creates demand. What’s changed is where that demand goes next. A viewer sees the spot, picks up a phone or opens a laptop, and asks a question. More and more, that question goes to ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, Perplexity, or a Google AI Overview instead of a plain list of links.

The questions are predictable. “Is this brand any good?” “What’s the best option in this category?” “Who else does this?” The assistant answers in a sentence or two, and it names whoever it can actually read and trust.

Those audiences are not small. I pulled the current usage figures for each platform, with links to the original sources, in How Smart TV Advertising Predicted AI Content Strategy.

Where the demand leaks

Sometimes the assistant names your client. Sometimes it names a competitor that never bought a single spot. Sometimes it doesn’t know the brand exists. Reach and frequency can be perfect, and the demand the campaign created can still go to whoever the AI cites at the moment of follow-up.

Most of the time nobody on the campaign can see this happening. It doesn’t show up in the media plan, and it doesn’t show up in traditional search reporting. An AI answer is not a ranked list. It’s a recommendation, and it usually only has room for a few names.

What Tygart Media does

Tygart Media is an AI-first agency. We get businesses cited and recommended by AI assistants. For a TV campaign, that work comes in two parts.

A citation scan. We run the questions a viewer would actually ask after seeing the spot, across the major AI answer engines accessible at scan time, and report back: where AI cites the brand today, where it doesn’t, and who it cites instead. The report lists exactly which systems were tested, and Will reviews it before it ships.

Rebuilding the pages AI pulls its answers from. Assistants quote what they can read. We rework the brand’s pages so the answers are there to quote: direct-answer structuring, FAQ schema, defined terms, and content shaped for each model. It’s the same methodology we run on our own properties, and the same one behind this site’s own citation numbers. We publish that methodology openly on this site.

To be plain about what we don’t do: we don’t buy your airtime, and we don’t make the spot. Your team and your client’s creative agency own that. We work on what happens after the spot airs, when people go looking.

Who this is for

  • Agency media buyers and planners running TV or connected TV for brands that people research before they buy.
  • Brand-side marketers who want to know what AI assistants say about them before, during, and after a flight.
  • Teams that suspect a competitor is picking up demand their campaign created, and want to see it for themselves.

It’s not for you if what you need is media buying or spot production. And our packaged offers were built for restoration contractors first. For a TV campaign we scope the work with you, and we’ll tell you honestly if it isn’t a fit.
