Who the AI answer engines are naming — measured on our own rig, dated, with the denominators showing. A new pulse lands every Monday.
Everett, WA — water damage · measured October 18, 2026
How this was measured: seven questions a homeowner asks mid-flood — none of them naming a company — put to four AI answer engines (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Google AI Mode): 28 answers. Google AI Overview returned no answer on any question and is excluded.
Who the answers named, of 28:
- SERVPRO — named in 20 of 28 answers (71%)
- PuroClean — 11
- Roto-Rooter — 9
- Green State Restoration — 8
- PureDry Restoration — 8 (named in 29% of answers; cited in 5, 18%)
- Waterline Restoration — 7
- Bio Clean — 5
- Northwest Restoration — 5
- ServiceMaster by SRS — 2 (named in 7%; cited in 3, 11%)
One answer is worth a second look: on a Gemini answer, PureDry’s own Everett page appeared in the source list — while the answer itself named three other companies. Cited is not the same as named.
Snapshot, not a census: one sample, taken October 18, 2026. Rates move as the engines’ indexes change. A citation is a shortlist, not a job.
The Claude landscape — this site · measured October 18, 2026
Bing AI Performance (trailing 30 days; export pulled October 18, 2026): tygartmedia.com earned 1,501,064 citations across 934 cited pages. One page — /claude-ai-pricing/ — accounts for 683,645 of them: 45.5% of every citation the site earned in the window.
Microsoft Clarity (same window, its own instrument): 205,349 total citations, with the same pricing page counting 62,970.
Two instruments, reported side by side on purpose — they count differently, and we never blend them.
