South Sound 911 holds incident reports, CAD logs, traffic citations, and 911 / dispatch audio for Tacoma Police and most Pierce agencies. Portal: southsound911.org/public-records-requests. Mail: ATTN Records Custodian, South Sound 911, 3580 Pacific Ave., Tacoma, WA 98418. You can file without a case number if you have date, place, and names.
City of Tacoma Public Records Office holds TPD investigative files, photos, body-worn and in-car video, plus non-police city records. Portal: Tacoma Public Records Request Center. Municipal Court files are the court, not TPD — parking / Municipal Court. WSP collision reports are WSP, Pierce (253) 538-3240. Background checks are WSP, not 311.
